Detailed description of the works We are building a single dwelling outside Quin, Ennis. We are looking for a passive foundation. Below is the spec from our engineer. I 1. Strip ground to 450mm below ffl to 400 mm beyond slab footprint all round. 2. Fill any soft spots with SR21 in 200mm layers and compact 3. Lay Terram 7000 membrane or sim with 2m skirt for lap 4. Lay all services and radon sump as directed 5. Lay 350mm compacted Geocell schaumglass insulation compacted in 200mm layers 6. Wrap Geocell in terram as before 7. Lay radon barrier with min 600mm skirt for later wrap 8. Set out and fix concrete shutter to line and level 200mm deep, top at FFL including bracing etc 9. Install edge reinforcement comprising T8 shape code 41 links - a 900mm B 100mm C 250mm at 300 centres, 4 x T 10 stock bars and code 11 equal corners A & B 600mm 10. Install A252 fabric mesh on 150mm chairs or shape code 51 stools to engineers specification 11. Lay and compact 200mm C30N10 concrete with blade finish to +/- 10mm level 12. Allow for external air supply to chimney.
